A Walk in the Forest

  A Walk in the Forest

Lina loved exploring. Every Saturday, she would pack her little backpack with a bottle of water, a notebook, and some snacks, and head to the forest near her house. The forest was her favorite place—it was full of tall trees, chirping birds, and hidden surprises.

One sunny morning, Lina set out on her usual walk. As she strolled along the familiar path, she noticed something unusual: a small, glittering trail on the ground. It sparkled like tiny pieces of silver. Curious, Lina decided to follow it.

The trail led her deeper into the forest, to a part she had never been to before. The trees were taller here, their branches weaving together to create a canopy of green. Lina felt a mix of excitement and nervousness.

As she walked, she heard a rustling sound. Turning around, she saw a squirrel darting up a tree, holding something shiny in its paws. “Ah, so you’re the one leaving this trail!” Lina laughed. She followed the squirrel, which led her to a small clearing.

In the clearing, Lina found a tree stump covered in moss. On it was a tiny pile of acorns, each one decorated with bits of shiny metal and glass. It looked like the squirrel had been collecting treasures to build its own little collection.

Lina smiled and decided to leave a small gift for the squirrel. She placed a colorful marble from her pocket onto the stump. The squirrel chattered happily, as if thanking her, before scurrying off.

As Lina made her way home, she felt a sense of wonder. The forest always had new secrets to share, and she couldn’t wait to return next Saturday.
