 Sam and the Lost Dog

Sam loved animals, especially dogs. He had always wanted one of his own, but his parents thought he wasn’t ready for the responsibility. One evening, as Sam was walking home from school, he heard a faint whimpering sound coming from the bushes.

Curious, Sam approached and found a small, scruffy dog tangled in some vines. The dog’s fur was matted, and it looked tired and hungry. “Don’t worry, little guy. I’ll help you,” Sam said gently.

He carefully untangled the dog and gave it some of his sandwich. The dog wagged its tail and licked Sam’s hand gratefully. Sam noticed a collar around its neck with a name tag that read “Buddy” and a phone number.

Sam decided to take Buddy home and call the number. The owner, a kind old woman named Mrs. Clark, answered immediately. She had been searching for Buddy all day and was overjoyed to hear he was safe.

When Mrs. Clark arrived to pick up Buddy, she thanked Sam with tears in her eyes. “You have such a kind heart,” she said. “You’ll make a wonderful dog owner someday.”

Sam’s parents were so proud of his actions that they finally agreed he was ready to have his own dog. A month later, they adopted a puppy from the shelter, and Sam named him Lucky.

Helping Buddy had not only brought joy to Mrs. Clark but had also made Sam’s dream come true.

سام والكلب الضائع

كان سام يُحب الحيوانات، وخاصة الكلاب. لطالما رغب في كلب خاص به، لكن والديه ظنّا أنه غير مستعد لتحمل هذه المسؤولية. في إحدى الأمسيات، بينما كان سام عائدًا من المدرسة، سمع صوت أنين خافت قادم من الشجيرات.

بدافع الفضول، اقترب سام فوجد كلبًا صغيرًا أشعثًا متشابكًا بين بعض الكروم. كان فراء الكلب مُتشابكًا، وبدا مُتعبًا وجائعًا. قال سام بلطف: "لا تقلق يا صغيري، سأساعدك".

فكّ الكلب من التشابك بحرص وأعطاه بعضًا من شطيرته. هزّ الكلب ذيله ولعق يد سام بامتنان. لاحظ سام طوقًا حول رقبته عليه بطاقة اسم كُتب عليها "بادي" ورقم هاتف.

قرر سام اصطحاب بادي إلى المنزل والاتصال بالرقم. ردّت صاحبته، وهي سيدة عجوز طيبة تُدعى السيدة كلارك، على الفور. كانت تبحث عن بادي طوال اليوم، وغمرتها السعادة لسماع أنه بخير.

عندما وصلت السيدة كلارك لأخذ بادي، شكرت سام والدموع في عينيها. وقالت: "يا لك من قلب طيب، ستصبح مالك كلب رائع يومًا ما".

كان والدا سام فخورين جدًا بأفعاله لدرجة أنهما اتفقا أخيرًا على أنه مستعد لامتلاك كلبه الخاص. بعد شهر، تبنّيا جروًا من الملجأ، وأطلق عليه سام اسم "لاكي".

لم تُسعد مساعدة بادي السيدة كلارك فحسب، بل حقّقت أيضًا حلم سام.
