The Brother’s Gift
The Brother’s Gift
Ali and his little brother Youssef were as close as two brothers could be. They played together, shared secrets, and supported each other in everything. Ali, being older, often looked out for Youssef, but Youssef wanted to show that he could do something special for Ali, too.
Ali’s birthday was coming up, and Youssef had saved all his pocket money to buy him a gift. He knew Ali loved drawing, so he decided to get him a sketchbook and a set of colored pencils. But when Youssef went to the store, he realized he didn’t have enough money.
Feeling disappointed, Youssef walked home, thinking of what he could do. Then an idea struck him. Instead of buying something, he would make a gift for Ali. He found some cardboard, markers, and glue and started working. He created a small handmade box with colorful decorations and wrote “Ali’s Art Supplies” on it. Inside the box, he put some of his own pencils and a few blank sheets of paper.
On Ali’s birthday, Youssef shyly handed him the gift. “I hope you like it,” he said, looking down.
Ali opened the box and stared at it for a moment. Then he smiled and hugged Youssef tightly. “This is the best gift ever!” he said.
Youssef’s heart swelled with pride. He realized that sometimes, the most meaningful gifts weren’t bought—they were made with love.
