A Dream of Flying

 A Dream of Flying

Oliver was a boy with a big imagination. Every night, he dreamed of flying above the clouds, seeing the world from high up like a bird. One day, while exploring his attic, he found an old leather-bound book titled “How to Build a Flying Machine.” The pages were filled with sketches and instructions, and Oliver’s heart raced with excitement.

He spent days gathering materials: wooden planks, fabric for wings, and strings for controls. In his backyard, he worked tirelessly to construct his flying machine. His best friend, Lucy, often helped, holding pieces together and offering ideas. The villagers laughed when they saw Oliver’s contraption. “It will never work!” they teased. But Oliver didn’t let their words stop him.

Finally, the flying machine was complete. It looked like a giant bird with wide wings and a small seat in the middle. Oliver climbed in, Lucy cheering him on. He pulled the lever, and to his amazement, the wings began to flap. Slowly, the machine lifted off the ground.

The villagers gasped as Oliver soared above the fields. He saw the entire village, the river winding through it, and the mountains in the distance. For the first time, he felt truly free. When he landed, everyone gathered around, no longer laughing but praising his determination.

From that day on, Oliver was known as the boy who dared to dream—and made it come true.
