The Big Fight

Sami and his best friend Omar had been inseparable since they were toddlers. They did everything together, from playing soccer to studying for exams. But one afternoon, during a heated soccer match, things took a turn.

“You always hog the ball, Omar!” Sami shouted after missing a goal.

“Well, maybe if you practiced more, you’d score!” Omar shot back.

The argument quickly escalated, and soon they weren’t talking at all. Their other friends tried to intervene, but neither boy was willing to apologize. Sami went home that day feeling angry and hurt.

For the next few days, Sami and Omar avoided each other. Sami missed his friend but didn’t know how to fix things. His mother noticed his sadness and asked him what was wrong. After he explained, she said, “Sometimes, being the bigger person means saying sorry first, even if you feel you’re not entirely wrong.”

The next morning, Sami decided to take his mother’s advice. He found Omar before class and said, “I’m sorry for what I said. I didn’t mean it.”

Omar looked surprised but then smiled. “I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t have said what I did.”

With that, the tension melted away, and they were back to being best friends. The fight taught them an important lesson about the value of understanding and forgiveness. From then on, they made a pact to never let their friendship be ruined by a silly argument again.
